Exclusion Filter for Configuration checks

The Exclusion filter feature filters the highlighted changes based on the config check rules added and provides only the changes that generated the alert. For more information, see Config Check.

Adding Config Check Type: Any Change

  1. Login to the LogicMonitor portal.

  2. Navigate to Settings > ConfigSources > select the required ConfigSource.

  3. On the ConfigSource page, navigate to Config Checks > Add Check.



    Add a Check dialog box is displayed.


  4. Enter the name for the Config check type.

  5. From the Check Type drop-down list, select Any Change to set the exclusions.

    • In the Ignore these section, click the +add to add the rules for the alert generation.
    • Select the required Clear alert after checkbox options: Acknowledge or you can enter the required minutes.

  6. Click Save.

Viewing the Exclusion Filter

  1. Navigate to Resources > select the required ConfigSource resource and click the Config tab.

  2. On the Config tab, select the required version that you want to compare.

  3. In the lower panel, click Compare.

  4. From the Exclusions drop-down list, select Yes.


Note: The Exclusion filter highlights only the changes that generated the alert.
Also, the defined exclusion filters are applied for each file while comparing two different version files.

If you select No from the Exclusions drop-down list, all the changes are highlighted.
