Cloud Services and Resource Units
Last updated on 23 October, 2024When you add a Cloud account to LogicMonitor, the services for that provider are displayed on the Services tab. Each of these services represents one or more resources that will be monitored in your Cloud environment. Understanding these resources, or resource units, can be helpful in planning and determining potential costs.
The tables that follow provide the resource units for the services associated with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). LogicMonitor applies the FinOps Open Cost and Usage Specification (FOCUS) open standard to categorize cloud resources. For Kubernetes services, see About LogicMonitor Container Monitoring.
Note: As it relates to cost, LogicMonitor charges for certain resource units per month. These billable resource units are marked in the table below. To calculate the costs, snapshots are taken every few hours and monthly averages are obtained. This ensures that you are not penalized for small spikes in usage.
