Feature Highlights
Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN Modules
You can now use new modules that follow HPE Aruba’s monitoring best practices for EdgeConnect SD-WAN versions 9.x. LogicMonitor provides a new Enhanced Script NetScan to automate the discovering and organizing onboarding each of EdgeConnect OS (ECOS) appliance. These modules provide new features, an intuitive user experience, simplified ServiceNow CMDB Integration, and support for key LM Envision features like Root Cause Analysis, Network Traffic Analysis, Log Analysis, and Role Based Access Control.
For more information, see Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN in the product documentation.
Added New Slash ( / ) Command in LM Slack Integration
In LM Slack integration, you can use a slash ( / ) command to get the status of a resource. You can enter a resource ID with the following slash command to get the status of the resource: /lm status [device_id].
To get the resource ID, select Full Alert Details from the Slack alert message. For more information, see Slack Integration in the product documentation.
New UI Access for All LogicMonitor Portals
Access to the new user interface is now available in all portals, including child accounts. This gives you access to increased productivity and improved usability in LogicMonitor, provided by the intuitive and consistent platform-wide experience of the new UI design. Explore the new UI with self-paced courses in the LM Academy.
Usage Reporting for SaaS Monitoring
LogicMonitor now provides the usage metrics for services offered through your SaaS Monitoring subscription. You can view the combined metrics for all services you monitor, or you can view the metrics for each service.
The SaaS Monitoring product provides usage metrics for any of the following services you monitor:
- Slack
- Zoom
- Webex
- Office365
- Salesforce
The SaaS Monitoring usage metrics consist of the billing units for services you are monitoring or the number of users licensed to use the services monitored.
To access this feature, navigate to Settings > Usage, and select “SaaS Monitoring”.
Resource Explorer
Resource Explorer feature is generally available on all LogicMonitor accounts. Resource Explorer displays a summary of the health of all the resources that you are monitoring in your LogicMonitor portal. You can use filters and groups to focus on specific resources based on any resource properties such as provider and region, quickly identify resources with critical DataSource alerts, and drill down to investigate and find the root cause to solve issues. For more information, see Resource Explorer in product documentation.
General Updates
Cloud Monitoring
Extended support for Azure Services
Added support for additional Azure services to Cloud Monitoring. You can now monitor new and existing DataSources for the following services within your Azure environment:
- Power BI Embedded
- Container Registries
- NAT Gateways
- Azure AI Bot service
You must enable the new DataSources from DataSources->Add->From LogicModule Exchange. To enable a new service, navigate to Resources > Azure > Services and select the appropriate service from the list.
For more information on supported Azure Services, see Cloud Services and Resource Units in product documentation.
Added Service Support for AWS QuickSight Dashboards
You can now discover and monitor AWS QuickSight Dashboards-related metrics with LM AWS cloud integration. You can enable the service using the cloud wizard for monitoring.
Fixed Issues
Fixed the RabbitMQ issue where the data was not populating and incorrect instances were discovered.
Dashboards
Added New SLA Calculation Method
The Collector delay with no data option will not count the collector delay as a violation as long as a valid datapoint is received. Navigate to Dashboards > Add Widgets > SLA > and select the “Collector delay with no data” option from the Behavior When No Data Is Selected drop-down list. For more information, see Configuring an SLA Widget for Resources in the product documentation.
Identity and Access
Email Notifications for User Account Changes
You will now receive an email notification if you are suspended (manually or automatically) or locked after exceeding the invalid password limit.
In addition, you will receive email notifications if the following fields are modified:
- Username
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email address (notify previous email address)
- Password
- Force password change toggle enabled or disabled
- Phone number
- SMS Email Address
Email for Two-Factor Authentication
With this release, you can use email for two-factor authentication.
Lmsupport users cannot create new API tokens
The lmsupport users cannot create new lmv1 tokens regardless of the Role assigned to the lmsupport user. This improves LogicMonitor’s security. You must have a dedicated user with lmv1/Bearer token, which can be used for integrations and automation.
Note: That this enhancement does not impact the existing tokens created earlier.
Bulk Force Change Password
You can set the force change password feature for multiple users simultaneously.
Note: This feature is available only for local users and not for SAML, APIONLY, or LMSUPPORT users.
Fixed Issues
The new SSO certification will now expire in 5 years.
LM Logs
Removed “In” Comparison Operator
The “In” operator has been removed from the Windows Event Logsource type. The “In” operator is no longer available to filter the “Level” attribute.
Modules
“Blank” Status Available in My Module Toolbox
You can now filter the modules using the “Blank” status in My Module Toolbox to verify the number of missing modules. The missing modules were either created in the account or imported from XML or JSON files.
Resources
Enhanced Info Tab
Enhanced the Info tab in Resources. The text is now wrapped and left-aligned in the Value column for improved readability.
Fixed Issues
Fixed the alert status icon so that it no longer displays when hovering over an item. The alert status icon is now static to better reflect the alert status of an item.
Settings
Updated Graph Link from Settings to Exchange
The updated graph link navigates to My Module Toolbox. Previously, the link navigated to Settings > Modules > Graphs.
Topology
Cellular Connection Icon
Added a cellular gateway icon for identifying the different networks on the resource map. You can also see the network connection errors on the map.
Container Monitoring Releases
Container Monitoring 6.0.0 was released on November 22, 2023. For more information on new Container Monitoring features, enhancements, fixed and known issues, and the upgrade steps, see Container Monitoring 6.0.0 Release Notes.

Looking Ahead
In this section, you will find announcements about upcoming beta features, updates about ongoing beta features, and information about the end-of-support for existing features.
Limit Set for Metadata Fields for LM Logs
In LM Logs, in a future release, the default number of metadata fields will be set to 25 during log ingestion.
If the metadata fields exceed the limit, the excess metadata entries will be added to a coalesced field (_coalesced.fields
).
Open Beta Release of New UI for Websites
Disclaimer: This feature is currently in open Beta and limited to participating users only. In the coming weeks, this open beta will be made available for all users.
New LogicMonitor user interfaces for Websites will be available as an Open Beta release. The new UI ensures a more consistent experience across the platform and provides a more streamlined experience for key workflows when creating or updating Web Check or Ping Check for your Website. Similar to the new UI releases for Resources, Reports, and Services; you will need to toggle on New UI Preview in the page header to enable these features. If you do not see the toggle, the new UI preview is not yet enabled for your account.
LogicModules Migrating to Modules
In a future release, LogicModules will no longer be available from Settings. You can access the Exchange, My Module Toolbox, and all settings for managing modules from Modules in the navigation bar.
For more information, see Modules Overview in the Product Documentation.
