V.1.0 Dexda
Last updated on 22 October, 2024Highlights:
- Reduced alert noise – Advanced machine learning techniques, contextual enrichment capabilities, and deduplication efforts filter through thousands of daily events to produce succinct alerts for the most critical incidents and drive down MTTR (Mean Time To Repair)
- ServiceNow ready – Includes a seamless bi-directional integration with the ServiceNow Incident module to fit correlated insights into standard IT workflows. ServiceNow CMDB data automatically enriches Dexda alerts to drive additional context for alert correlations
- Adaptive correlation – Avoid delays in escalating insights to ServiceNow by automatically reclustering alerts into new insights when a more optimal clustering option is found
- Extensible correlation – Customizable user-defined correlation models target both the alert and enriched CMDB data, based on what makes sense for the business
- MSP (Managed Service Provider) ready–Now supports multi-tenancy with correlations scoped to each tenant
Dexda Alert Correlation
Dexda reduces alert noise by deduplicating repeat events into a single alert, and correlating, grouping and prioritizing alerts into insights, reducing noise with up to 90-95% efficiency. With this automatic collation, IT professionals can differentiate between signals and noise, resulting in fewer tickets to manage.
You have provisioned Dexda. Contact your LogicMonitor account executive for more information.
When you log in to Dexda, you are directed to Explore Page by default. Here, you can view an unfiltered view of alerts, events, and insights.
For more information, see Introduction to Dexda in the product documentation.
Escalation Through ServiceNow Incidents
Using LMDX, you can get notified about issues through ServiceNow incidents, and access the information in Dexda for further investigation. You can look at insight details, see associated alerts and types of issues, and understand why they were correlated.
For more information, see About LMDX in the product documentation.
Configuring and Using Dexda Dashboards
When logging into Dexda, Dashboards are central in Dexda as a starting point from where you can get a first overview and act on insights and alerts. Dashboards are built up of different types of charts displaying information. When logging in you are automatically directed to a dashboard (default or customized), where you can quickly see and act on issues where needed.
You have dashboard configuration permissions. For more information, see Dexda Roles and Users.
On the Dexda Home page, select Dashboards. A list of dashboards appears. For info on navigating the dashboard page, see the Dashboards page.
For more information, see About Dashboards in the product documentation.
Configuring and Using Models
Dexda identifies hidden patterns within the text features of alert data and analyzes and dynamically manages their correlation. This correlation of data is controlled by Models. Models let you specifically target business scenarios for which you want to generate actionable insights to be managed in your workflow.
You have configuration permissions. For more information, see Dexda Roles and Users.
On the Dexda Home page, select Models. A list of models appears. For info on navigating the models page, see the Models page.
For more information, see About Models in the product documentation.
Configuring and Using Rules
Rules in Dexda apply filter logic and execute configured actions for matched records. Using rules, you can trigger automated workflows across alerts and machine learning-created insights, and build manual exception handling to identify and escalate issues.
You have configuration permissions. For more information, see Dexda Roles and Users.
On the left-side pane, navigate to Rules. For info on navigating the rules page, see Rules Page.
For more information, see About Rules in the product documentation.
Configuring and Using Actions
An Action is a pre-configured capability to for example update an alert, or create an incident in ServiceNow. Actions can run automatically or manually (interactively) depending on the source. Automatic actions can only be applied to events, machine learning records (ml), and ServiceNow records (incidents, CMDB).
You have configuration permissions. For more information, see Dexda Roles and Users.
On the left-side pane, navigate to Actions. For information on navigating the actions page, see Actions page.
For more information, see About Actions in the product documentation.
